Stripped bolts

My chevy malibu fuel tank bolts to hold up car are stripped

Do the bolts have a nut on it? If the bolt itself is stripped, get a new bolt. If the bolt goes into a blind hole and the threads in the hole are stripped, you might try a heli-coil. If that doesn't work, you might drill and tap the hole for a slightly larger bolt. I guess, I'd have to look at it. Whatever you do, make it safe.

The bolts may be stripped but the nuts may be ok if you get it out. Thenuts are weldedin place and will need another one put in or retapped to a different size if not any good.
