Bmx X5 not starting

I have a 2003 bmx X5 4.4i and I think the battery is dead. I tried jumping it to a 96 honda but nothing happened. I hear a clicking sound when I turn the key but it sounds like it's coming from the steering wheel. Im wondering is it my battery or could it be something else?

The car should not be jump started at all. The battery should be tested and if it fails the test, replace it straightaway. Then retest for proper output from the charging system.
