Also checked injectors and they are ticking like they are firing.

Have you checked the compression yet?Also will it start if you prime it with some carb spray?Is the security light on solid or flashing with the key in the run position?Also is anything not working like gas gas gauge door locks keyless entry etc?Can you take it out of park?

I have tried putting car in neutral and starting, no change, we've also sprayed carb spray. Service light has been on for a while but has been on since she ran over something and damaged the resonator, which then destroyed the o2 sensor( which I disconnected). All electronics in the car appear to be working just fine? I don't have anything to check compression.

If you have spark and fuel then next you need to look at compression and engine timing. You can rent a compression tester from auto zone.

Electrical problem
2002 Saturn L200 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 181500 miles

When trying to start the car, it cranks fine, but will not start. Sounding like a car does when its out of gas. But the tank is full. Also, during cranking, and when the key is just turned on, the dash lights will blink, and the fuel gauge will drop all the way to empty, then back to full, and back again.

Sounds like a bad body control module pretty common on that model car.U will have to take it to the dealer they have to program the new module and put the correct mileage in also. Tell them the symptoms ur having. Let me know what u find out.

Thank you for all your help. I sent the car to my mechanic and he said that it jumped time. He's going to replace the chain and then do a compression check. I just don't have enough time to dedicate to it, and little past my ability. Once again thank you.

Could You Please Keep me posted about your issue with your Saturn L200 because I am Having the same problems with my 2001. It just started this about a week ago, but before it wouldn't stay cranked, I was having issues with the locks constantly popping up in addition to the flashing lights on the dash. Help Please

He doesn't have a camera to put down the spark plug holes to see if you have bent valves?Those engines are valve benders. If it jumped far enough to not start chances are there are bent valves.

Sounds like u have a bad body control module accumulatorthose are common symptoms of a bad one the gas gauge locks keyless entry inop dash lights or interior lights flash can't get car out of park sometimes clicking sounds from center console from shifter solindo clicking on and off when it's not suppose to.U better get that checked out I have gotten alot of tow INS for bad bcms.I have replaced so many bcms that I have 2000-2003 every yr in between those yrs 4 an 6cyl for testers each yr and engine size takes a differnt bcm. Let me know if u have anymore questions on the bcm.

You would have to get some valves replaced in the head. But I have seen the valve guides in the head get split also. Let me know how it comes out.

My 2002 saturn l200 ran out of gas. Now, no matter what I try, it will not start. I filled up the tank about half way with gas and still nothing. What could the problem be?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light.
