Car was getting hot when I idled but went down whe driving. Replaced the thermostat after driving about 20 minutes. It staryed to get hot while driving. Went well almost to the red then down but stayed in that range

My 2000 did the same I also replaced the thermostat, what I did was flushed out the antifreeze and replaced it, then added the little purple bottle of super cooler that u can buy at autozone added that. I also bought k&n filter cleaning kit and cleaned my air filter. Now no more over heating
