Ok. Servo fixed. Ran fine for a while. Last night. The o/d light came on flashing yet again and was running kind of rough. Shut the car off. Turned it back on.O/d light off. Taking it BACK today. Wish I could get this done and over with once and for all! What's up with it coming on/off? I thought once a code is picked up, it stays on?

It has to set certain criteria to come on. The fact that there is a code means there is other issues. They need to resolve the issue for the light to go out and stay out.

Took it to the shop today. They have to take it out and look at everything again. My o/d light continues to flash. And my check engine light is on. The code for the engine light came up as "speed control" I just hope it lasts til Monday when I drop it off in the morning.I have to work this weekend. I did notice though when it does get to high rpms like its ready to shift, if I let off the gas for about 2 seconds. It sometimes goes into gear just fine so i've been trying to do that to avoid as much "slamming" into gear as possible.

I did too. He said there are two servos in there. Both are newly replaced. It's third gear that is slamming for some reason. After that. It runs very smooth (like on the highway) I'm just wondering what in the world is going in there. Thank god he has a 6 month 6k warranty on his work

He told me initially when it was rebuilt that all the "sealed" gears were solid.I wonder if it's a fluid issue or something. But it's tripping the o/d light and check engine for "speed control"

You should ask them about putting in another reman unit as you dont need to have this go on for a long period trying to get it resolved.

Well. For some reason. The servo piston keeps busting. Yesterday the car took a dump on me. It literally wouldn't go. My mechanic said he's trying a different part this time. As for why the car wouldn't go. He said something with the overdrive broke. This has become a nightmare. Luckily it's at no cost to me since it's under warranty

Well. Finally. Got everything fixed! They had to rebore where both servo pistons are which is what was causing the problem to begin with. Now it runs like a charm!

I do have another rather minor question. More electrically related. My dome lights/outside mirror lights aren't turning on when I unlock the car.I do have an aftermarket stereo in there right now and noticed there is a wire in there that says dash illumination. Its cut. But its been cut and the lights have worked just fine. Just trying to trouble shoot where in the wiring I would look or if its a fuse that blew?
