My oil light is coming on in my 2002 chrysler sebring Lxi. It smells after I stop driving it but the oil is full and the light only comes on after I drive it about 2 miles.

Is there ever any knocking or ticking from the engine while the light is on?

I'd check oil pressure. Sometimes to double check, you can use analog gage in place of sending unit?
