I have a 2002 buick century. The lever on the steering column that turns the high beams on and off is stuck in the on position and won't click anymore, therefore, the high beams are always on. I would like to know if I could spice into the wire and put a dimmer switch on the floor to switch it on and off. I'm guessing the best wire to splice into would be in the column harness wiring, but I need to know the color of that wire. I can't afford to replace the lever on the steering column and would rather have the old fashioned floor button anyways. I am very good when working with electical things.

Here is a picture of the schematic, see if that helps. Itlooks like tan and yellow will get you high beams, but you would also have to include the pink wire or you would have no dash indicator.

I would not have a certain way of telling what years the schematic covers. I would guess through the running of that particular body style.
