Hello,

The best way to diagnose your vehicle is to have the ECU code read. Not all fault codes will bring on an engine light.

At times a faulty boost pressure sensor or MAF sensor can cause this holding back, lack of boost when accelerating. Also a possible faulty fuel pump or a blocked fuel filter can cause the same symptoms and will not set a fault code/engine light.
