O2sensor

Obd2 po171 lean bank 1 havn't taken maf apart yet, but was told o2 is bad. Low idle uses more gas smells like gas at idle hesatates when cold. What do you suggest? Thanks Mark Yocom also 140.000 miles on toy. But has excellent maintanence from prior owner.

Have you tested the o2 sensor? Also check maf like you said and e.C.T. Sensor, a/f sensor.

A lean mixture is usually caused by a vacuum leak. Have you checked that? Also, with the scanner attached, the O2 sensor should move between.35 and.55 volts. If it is out of range, replace it.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks to boatbuddy and jacob for your reply's. I have some medical problems right now, but as soon as I can I will check what you have suggested. I purchased a OBD11 can reader am dissapointed in what it does'nt tell you. Very missleading, I don't have alot of money to spend. Thanks again Mark
