How do I get my steering wheel in my vehicle to lock?

It is being pulled by a car dolly and is in park and ignition is off, still won't lock.

I did not have a problem with this before it was put on the dolly now that it is on the dolly I can not get the steering wheel to lock.

I tried turning the steering wheel to try and get it to lock, but still nothing. I also have some cargo in the car I was wondering if weighing down the grand am on the car dolly is causing it not to lock.

The steering wheel would lock at a specific position when ignition key is removed. Did you try turning the steering wheel in either direction?

Try inserting the key and turning it on and then lock and pull the ignition key out.
