Car only starts when pushing the gas pedal. Runs fine once started. What could be the culprit? Car died completely a few weeks ago. New battery was installed and car ran fine for a little and then this began.

Not sure about codes. But I pump the pedal a few times while starting the car. If I don't push the gas pedal the car cranks but won't start.
