2001 Expedition AWD

I'm stuck out of town about 12 hours from home but I do have some of my tools with me the problem is that my truck is AWD and it feels like the front is locked in still cause every time I turn it wants to jump is there anyway to get the front unlocked it also makes a lil noise please help I'm trying to get home an not much money left to spend I would donate but don't have much money me an my 5 year old are trying to get home cause his mother is in the hospital
