This vehicle is the SE model. It has fire, has fuel, but still will not start. Cranks over really good and acts like it is about to start but does not. Timing belt is good. How can I check crank sensor without the proper tools? Or does anyone have any suggestions? It is my daughter's car she needs it to get and forth to college.

Good afternoon.

If you have spark, the crank sensor is working. You should see a small rpm reading on your dash.

Did you check the actual fuel pressure?

The next step is compression. Need to see if the engine can produce power.
