I HAVE A 2001 CHEVY SILVERADO WITH A V-8 FUEL INJECTION AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS I CAN FILL UP MY GAS TANK AND THE FIRST HALF GETS USED UP REALLY QUICK BUT THE 2ND HALF GIVES ME BETTER GAS MILEAGE. I HAVE NO ENGINE PROBLEMS OR ANYTHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE TRUCK.

Fill the tank up and drive until it's almost empty. Write down your mileage at beginning of fill. Refill when empty andwrite down the mileage. Figure the mileage out you went divide by gallons and you will gethow many miles per gallon approximately you aregetting. Don't worry about the gauge so much unless you are empty at a 1/4 tank.
