While driving the other day, my car completely shuts off. When I finally came to a stop, tried to push the clutch in to start back up and the clutch was so tight its hard to push down, and when you push as hard as you can the clutch doesnt go far enough to start the car. Any ideas with what is wrong. The transmission shop has had it a week and still havent come up with anything.

Diagnosing BMW cars from cyberspace is tough enough without having all the information.
When did the clutch push get so hard? The engine shutting off is a possibly unrelated issue.
The transmission might need to come out to find whats wrong.
