Tensioner is pulled. Car only give one click but wont start. What is wrong?

Pulled pin out of tensioner on a 2000 s80 volvo and car still wont start. Had starter tested at autozone its good. I only recieve a clicking noise no crank of engine. What could be the cause of this?

Use a socket to see if the engine will rotate by hand.

Enginge rotates by hand. So what else can be wrong?

That means you have an electrical issue in the cranking circuit that has to be troubleshooted by following a wiring diagram.

Try to start in neutral. Do the reverse lites work?Check you battery connections. Check the voltage at the starter whyll cranking. Then check for start signal at the ingition switch whyll cranking. Its mounted on top of the lower steering column. Ty for using 2carpros
