I have an 99 volvo s80 it will not start when I turn it over. Makes some weird noise but still want start. I got a new starter put on and still doing the same thing

BTW I recently got a flywheel put on the car.

I just had got out the car less than 10 mins ago. Got back in to go, it wouldnt say anything. Everything else works just fine. So I got another starter put on and its still doing the same thing.

Do you

Is the starter turning the engine when trying to start? Check fuel pressure. Check spark.

With over 200k miles have you ever had the timing belt replaced? If not the belt could have snapped? If it did then you most likely bent some valves already.

That sucks. I take it it was the timing belt, then.

Ok. The timing belt was (hopefully properly) replaced and the bent valves were replaced, yet it still isn't wanting to start? Were the repairs professionally done, or at least was a repair manual like Chilton or Haynes used?
