My heat in the car blows hot air for about 30 sec. And then the air turns cool.

Check to make sure the coolant is full. Make sure the engine is warming up to a normal operating temp. Next, feel both heater core hoses and make sure they are both hot. If they are, check the blend door. If only one is hot, back flush the heater core.
