I see a reservoir not attached to anything

What is the plastic reservoir on the front left side towards the bottom of the engine? It looks to be just dangling there. It is open on one side like a hose is supposed to be attached

It is the plastic container like below the label of the radiator hose.

That is actually part of the intake system, called the resonator. It is routed to the air cleaner and main purpose is to reduce air resonance.

Thank you. Is there supposed to be a hose attached to this? Is it dangerous that it just sits there?
