Our MM 2000 recently has shown a weird fault with the transmission box but I cannot understand why this is happening.
I have checked the level of the transmission fluid and is fine also there is no leaks and no smells.
This problems happens when the engine is cold or hot, running a slow speed (40km/h) or fast (100km/h). It can happens several times on a day and dissapear or just once or not at all.
The gear box bumps but does not change the gear only the indicator light goes on for "N" but still indicates "D" at the same time, it does not affect how the vehicle is driven but I have noticed that it becomes a bit sluggish.
Any help?

Seems you have a fault/misalignment of the gear shift cable or Park/Neutral position (PNP) switch. When the PNP siwch does not provide the correct information to the transmission control unit (TCU) the trans would shift harshly or erratically.

You need to get that resolved and if problem does not go away, you would hacve to check for trouble codes with the aid of a scan tool.
