Car is blowing hot air

I have a 2000 mercury Sable and it started to blow hot air I have opened the glove box and located the actuator and when the ac is turned on it seems to make noise what could it be

First, check the pressures of the ac system for operation then we can talk about mode doors.

Blend door motor is a common failure. Can you hear the door moving?

It is a blend door motr, available at a parts store and it is held by 3 smal bolts and an electrical connector. It is very tight to acess.

I got a new actuator and plugged it in and it does not work ether this car has a circuit board next to the actuator and the plugs are connected any idea as to why it is not working

You said it was humming?

Plugs? It has 1 connector.

Humming was something else door actuator will not move at all it is electric with a plug that plugs into the side of it

The blend door is a small square box with 1 small connector and a round shaft the engages a shaft in the heater housing.

It is at the glove box to the left low on the housing.

YES plugged a new one in and it will not move ether this is a computer controlled ac system

Different system that does not use that at all. Whatever you got is wrong as this box is for manual air systems

you need a shop with a scan tool that can monitor the actions of the programmer to determine the failure.

Sorry for the confusion. It is not a common option for this model

Yes, I have but without a scan tool, everything is a guess. Auto systems are computer controlled and you need to see values that are available in a scan tool.
