2000 GMC Jimmy electrical?

When driving, every once in awhile All the warning lights will come on and stay on for a couple seconds or so then go out and gas gauge doesn't appear to be working correctly, or I am getting REALLY bad gas mileage (8mpg) or the trip mileage gauge isn't working properly. Is this electrical, computer or? Any help on how to discover the cause greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have seen this problem before in our shop, it was on a 2005 GMC Yukon but they use the same electronics.

The instrument cluster has gone bad and needs replacing,, here is a link to watch it on video.
