Hi, I have a 2000 ford mustang v6, after changing the exaust manifold and gaskets I start it and the rpms go up and down (1500 to 500 rpms) then my air intake starts making howling noises like gasping for air also a strong smell of gas comes out, I already check all my sensors (maf, tps, iac, iat, egr even the air pump and charcoil canister) they all good they read properly oms and I have their respective voltage on their plugs, I changed all vacuum hoses and gas filter. I also disconnect the catalytic converter to make sure I did not have any obstruction and still have the problem, I put a obd scan and nothing came out, I dont know what could it be, any help ill apreciate thanks

I replaced it because the muffler support broke and was hanging only by the exaust manifold and then manifold broke, I put a new exaust manifold and a new egr connection tube, all the holes lined up correctly I took it apart twice and tighten up really good I even bought the original gasket for the manifold coz the one it came with looked really cheap, I am going to check how tight is that egr conecction tube and ill get back with a response thanks in advance

No luck so far :(

Egr is valve is good I replaced that one 2 months ago I tested is close I checked the egr solenoid as well test good, I already checked all the vacuum and emission sensors all of them visually and with my multimeter ( fluke 725 ). I checked for leaks from the exaust manifold and have none ( I had my brother blocking the exaust pipe while the car was runnning I was checking at the exaust manifold I used somenthing is call snoop, is use for calibration on transmiters pretty much is destilled water with a mild soap), im wondering if a defective fuel pump would cause all this headache or maybe the fuel pressure regulator, I hear the fuel pump as soon I start the car, I dont know if the fuel pressure regulator is not regulating.I dont know anymore
