My Dodge if I drove 2 blocks from my house smoke coming out inside the A/C. It smells like burning wire

That sounds like the blower motor resistor. It is in the engine compartment on the right side of firewall. It has 4 wires coming out of it, LT GRN/WH, LT BLU, LT GRN and TAN.
Unless, the smoke had a sweet smell to it like anti-freeze. Then it is probably the heater core that needs to be replaced.
The easiest way to tell if the blower resistor is bad is to locate it and visually inspect it. If it looks burnt out, then it needs to be replaced.
