Shutdown

My wife has dodge caravan sitting at a light it just shutdown on her and when I got there the shutdown relay was ticking and when pulled it it stops and when u trun it over it truns over but wont start and stop and try it again it dont do nothing but the relay will start ticking again u have to let it sit for about 5 to 10 mins and then it will trun over again and then the relay starts ticking

This just happened to me with my 4 children in the van without my husband! We have a 2001 Dodge Caravan and it has been giving me one problem after another all of a sudden. My van has been acting like the battery was not so good lately but when this happened to me it was towed to my garage where they said it was not the battery, it was the alternator. Good luck and I am sure this is your problem.
