My mechanic checked car computer for a problem and it showed no issue. The problem is at 40-60 mph the car hesitates or misses. It is intermittent but always happens. Could it be a sensor, a plug, spark plug wire or transmission. Need your advice.

It could be a number of things. However, I have to say it is odd that there are no trouble codes stored in the computer. Since the check engine light hasn't come on, it leads me to think the problem may be coming from the fuel system. Has the fuel pressure been tested? Have you ever replaced the fuel filter?

By the way, if you can get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge, it is easy to check. Most parts stores will lend the gauge to you. I can provide directions if needed.

Let me know.
