Welcome back:

Not a fun job, but it can be done. Here are the directions for removing the panel. I realize the door being closed makes things more difficult, but it needs to be removed to access the components inside.

Here are the directions. The attached picture correlates with these directions. The picture shows where the clips, screws are located.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door handle bezel.
2. Remove the window handle, if equipped.
3. Remove the power accessory switch panel.
4. Remove the trim panel upper extension.
5. Remove the trim panel screws.
6. Remove the courtesy light, if equipped.
7. Remove door panel screws.
8. Remove the trim panel from the door, carefully sliding the trim panel up to release the retainers from the door.
9. Remove the speaker wire.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the speaker wire.
2. Install the courtesy light, if equipped.
3. Install the trim panel to the door by carefully aligning and sliding the panel down into the retainer slots.
4. Install the window handle, if equipped.
5. Install the power accessory switch panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the trim panel screws.

Tighten
Tighten the trim panel armrest screws to 2 N.M (18 lb in).

7. Install the trim panel upper extension.
8. Install the door handle bezel.

Based on the problem, it is my belief the linkage has come off the latch assembly.

I wish I had an easier way of doing it for you, but this is the bottom line. I'm here if you have questions or need help.

Take care,
Joe
