Engine Start and Dies

My 2000 chevy silverado 6.0 liter engine starts but dies within a few seconds. If I push on gas it dies quicker. Battery is good, but was dead so charged it and same results. Fuel Pump is turning on.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

No I haven't. Is there a way I can do this. I'm not much of a mechanic, but am willing to try anything

IF you go to our home page you will see a do it yourself section. Select it and there will be a section for checking fuel pump pressure.

Let me know if you find it.
