What is the problem?

Start my 4runner back out of driveway put it in drive and it revs up but goes very slow. I then then put in park and shut off. When I go to restart it does not start it just clicks no turn over. After several attempt to restart it finally starts. I put it in drive again and it runs and drives fine.

Did the check engine light come on?

Could be cat converter collapsed, trans issue or fuel pressure.

Catalytic converter. It is a part in the exhaust system. When it fails, the engine cannot breathe correctly.
