Engine stalls at higher RPMs

I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 and it runs fine until I get to higher RPMS such as passing. It will lose power and when I back off the throttle it recovers. Last summer I was getting a check engine light with a camshaft sensor code but haven't gotten the light since then. I think this started around the same time but that may be coincidence.

This could be a fuel pressure issue so I would suggest starting with checking the fuel pressure when this is acting up and make sure that the pressure is not dropping.

If it is not then most likely you have an issue in the ignition system. I would put my money on the ignition discharge module as this is what controls the delivery of the spark plus if you have had a cam sensor issue then that would be where I start.

I attached the info below on this and how to replace it. Please run through this and let us know if you have question on this.

Thanks
