It cranked right up and ran couple of minutes then died. Now it turns over and will crank every so often and idle up to 1000 on tach and die again what would be causing this. Please help if you can, cant afford alot to fix with christmas coming trying to get in running for my disabled mom.

Theres part of your problem you cant let fuel sit in a car for over a year and expect it start up no problem. The first thing I would do is get all that fuel out of the tank theres probably water in there plus all the old fuel.
