Electrical problem

I have a1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport, 4.0liter, auto. Sometimes driving over rough road or on smooth road, the instrument gauges will go to zero, alarm lights will illuminate. Engine runs fine no other problems. Just tapping the dashboard will reset the panel! I am checking all ground wires and connections. This seemed to have started when I had an alarm system installed, though sometime much later.
