Engine shut down

Did you use a gage and check fuel pressure? The vin Z engine is tbi fuel injection, 9--13 psi.
The vin w is the spider fuel system, our info says 54--64 psi. Which one do you have?

How long since overall tune-up? Can you check applicable trouble codes? If your fully obd1 compliant, you can use a jumper wire between the A & B terminals at datalink connector. Turn key just till the dash lites come on, no further. Then the ses lamp on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.

Check and test the throttle position sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor, knock sensor and EGR valve to include a fuel pressure check
