Hi im looking at buying a ford 1999 f250 V10. But the owner told me that the trans started slipping between 3rd and 4th, and that he had a mechanic look overt it and that he said its fine. What could be wrong with the trans. Low fluid? Trans is going out? Please help!

Slipping clutches are the most likely failure. I would either make the seller repair it first or deduct about 2500-3000 before buying it.
