1996 Ford F-250 Rear end

I put a new rear end in and now it seems to shift really hard. Also have put transmission fluid in and gear oil. Does this mean it is not the right rear end?

All a dfferent ratio will do is make the trans shift sooner or later. Scan for codes to make sure none are showing recheck your work as well and make sure all electrical is connected then check fuses underhood, one may have blown.
