I have a 99 expedition, no problems until I accidently drove over a speed bump hard. Jarred everything pretty hard. Three days later road construction road work hit semi pot hole vehicle immediately died. Service light and others came on. Vehicle would crank over but acted as if no fuel was reaching it. Mechanic replaced fuel pump and filter. Ran fine for a few hours. Drove over small curb in driveway rather gently vehicle died and everything repeated as from the begging before pump and fuel filter was replaced. Mechanic checked relays and kill switch and everything checks out to be ok. What could possibly be wrong? There isn't and twirling noise at all from fuel pump and it was just put in and ran for that few hours until it hit a small curb when gently driving over it. Mechanic believes something in between kill switch and fuel pump is wrong but not sure. HELP

Something has been loosened that's for sure, when it stops you must make sure that it is a no fuel problem, and if this is the case, you will have to start at the pump and work back through all the pump electrical's looking for a loose connection, often a wiggle test will locate a bad connection in the wiring.

I had the mechanic look it over this weekend. He says he checked to be sure fuel was reaching the front and the back. He's taking the fuel pump back off he believes it could be defected.I also that it was something loose because it didn't do it until the hard jar from going over that darn speed bump.I'll run your answer to him tomorrow and have him do the wiggle test. Thank-you for your time and effort regarding this.I've been at foot for about two weeks because of this. And the weather has been chilly for walking.

Ok Mechanic put another fuel pump on. Now it's running rough, overdrive light flashes. Mileage gauge sometimes shows mileage sometimes it doesn't. Where do I go from here?
