Low oil pressure @ idle

98 f150 4.6 put reman motor new h2o pump- felt like it was trying too hard to pull itself and overheated front rims were hot- put on new front brakes-- seemed too drive better but now it reads low oil pressure@ idle, bring RPM up and it reads fine what do I do now

The idle speed could be low-

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
