I have a 1998 chevy astro AWD that all of a sudden would not start, has fuel, pump working, has weak yellow spark and found out has the original factory plugs n other tune up items. Would this b the prob or should I also look for others? Need to find out prob soon as this is the only vehicle I have

Hello,

In order for the spark plugs to produce the blue spark it will need to have the correct output from the coil pack.
First you want to check to see if the coil pack is getting proper input voltage, it needs to get 12V+
There could be too much resistance in the coil pack, as a result the coil is not producing the strong blue spark.

Another possibility is the ignition control module might be faulty and not giving the correct signal to the coil pack.
The ignition control module can be tested.

Since the plugs are factory ones. It will be a good idea to change them out as well as the wires.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
