Popping sound

My 97 honda civic is making a popping sound that is coming from the drivers side front. It sounds like there is something hitting. When I accelerate it stops but if I let off the gas it starts again. And when I appy the brake it stops. And the steering wheel shakes. Can you help with this?

Check for any play in the wheel bearing, there should be none. Check ball joints, control arm bushings and steering components. Chances are you have a bad ball joint or worn bushing.
