After having made a sudden hard right turn my van just shut down like the battery had been grounded out. I lost everything electrical while still in motion. Once we got the battery charged back up it wouldn't start. I've got spark but it seems as though I don't have fuel. So I am wondering if there could be an inertia switch and if so where it might be located.

No, no Inertia switches on a GM. Test all your fuses using a test light with the key on, including the fusible links at the starter.
