Fuel issue? Crank no start

I was driving down the highway and my car start going at a slow pace and wouldn't pull, felt like it lost power. I pull over cut off the ignition and tried to restart the engine but it wouldn't crank, but it turned over. What could be wrong?

There are a number of issues that can cause a crank no start. So we need to start with this guide that will get us started:

We need to check for fuel and spark to start but I would use starter fluid in the intake and then if it still does not start then we need pull a plug and check for spark.

We can also check for fuel pressure using this guide:

I suspect we are going to have a fuel issue just based on they way you say this happened so we need to make sure we check that carefully.

However, if we don't then this may be a crank sensor issue. Here are a few more guides that will help talk about this as well:
