Car will turn over fine but dont start, I sometimes can get it to kick and almost start. Theft system is active and remains solid. The car died while driving and getting up to speed. Now it will not start. I replaced the lock cylinder and have a new key. It is the original passlock system. I cannot even get it to start with starter fluid. Please help me

If it won't start with starting fluid, then you have no spark to the plugs. Have you checked that?

Please advise me on how to check for spark and also would that mean the coil pack is bad and that would cause a theft light. How can I get rid of theft light and get spark again

Neither. If the security light is on, the problem is there. I hate to say it, but you need to have a dealer check the system for you. They are the ones that will have the right test equipment.

How an that be, why would there be no spark? Based on everything ive told you what could cause it to stop while driving up to speed and shut off at saY 40 MPH AND NOT BE ABLE TO START IT BACK UP BECAUSE OF THE SECURITY LIGHT? THE LIGHT IS SOLID. I TRIED A RELEARN BUT I CANT SEEM TO GET IT TO WORK OR MAKE SURE IM DOING IT RIGHT. OCCASIONALLY IT WILL BACKFIRE ONCE WHEN I CRANK IT.

PLEASE HELP ME AS I DONT WANT TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP AS I DONT WANT TO SPEND ALOT. IF YOU CANT HELP PLEASE ASK AROUND
