NOTE: The unit housing must be removed from the vehicle to service the heater core. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Housing Assembly HVAC, Service and Repair, Heater-A/C Housing Removal and Installation, See: Housing Assembly HVAC Service and Repair Heater-A/C Housing Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Disconnect battery.
Remove unit housing from vehicle. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Housing Assembly HVAC, Service and Repair, Heater-A/C Housing Removal and Installation, See: Housing Assembly HVAC Service and Repair Heater-A/C Housing Removal and Installation
Heater Core Removal
With the unit housing out of the vehicle, pull back heater core retaining clips. Then pull the heater core out of the heater housing.
