Enigine stall

1995 Subaru Legacy automatic ran fine night before. Started fine at -15degrees in morning. Warmed up 10 minutes. Drove a block & turned on highway. Noticed tach and speedometer needles were not worming. Was doing 60mph and notivced check engine lite was on. Stalled out and pulled over. Re-staerted with a jump after 2 hours. Started on first try but when I depressed accelerator it stalled again. Suggenstions?

Have you had the computer scanned? If the light was on, chances are there is a trouble code stored. Many parts stores will scan it for free. Also, is the battery going dead?
