Engine shuts off while driving and when idling

The car shuts down while driving or idling. After it shuts down, it takes about 10 minutes before it can be restarted. This happens after about 20 minutes of driving. It shuts down. Once it starts again, I drive off. It might run for 10 or 15 minutes and we start over again. Once I went outside and started the car, went back into the house and it shut off before I could drive off. This was after being left overnight (cold engine).

This could be a couple things. We need to start with this guide that will run through the basic items of a stalling engine.

However the fact that this seems to stall when it gets hot and then when it cools slightly it starts again, points to a crank sensor. Check out this guide that will talk about this:

It could also be an ignition coil but we should check for codes as they likely set a code if it is the issue.
