1995 Dodge Ram Gas tank leak

When the tank warms up and gas cap is on tight, pressure builds in tank causing gas to leak out around the fuel pump. As long as the gas cap is loose or off it does not leak. Have already replaced gas cap but it still leaks.

The tank is supposed to build pressure but its not supposed to push out fuel. You have a bad fuel pump gasket or a leaking line

Thank you for the quick response. Was hoping it was a simple stuck relief valve or something. LOL guess I have to drop the tank after all yuck : )

Hey it happens. Check that little sock filter on the pump while youre in there
