4.3 l Vortec-rotates but won't start.

Hi. We have replaced fuel pump, FUEL is getting thru and past in-line filter. It turned over for a couple of minutes then dieson average it roatates. But no start! Really don't want to start replacing everything!Any ideas whereto start? We have a code checker. Its a generic ond2 but when we try it it sayd err. Have checked map, iac, and a couiple other sensors. All good. HELP !

First of all, it is an obd1 system. Your scanner will not work.

You replaced the pump, but what is the pressure? There are low pressure systems and high pressure systems on these early models and if you put in the wrong one, it wont start. It needs around 58-60 to start.
What about spark? Do you have good spark to the plugs?

I would not throw anything at this till you know what has failed. It may pay you to at least get a shop to diag it for you so you know exactly what has failed instead of expensive guesses.

Thanks for replying. The people we bought it from said the Blazer has a history of starting, running for awhile then dieng(they been left on side of road several times)the Blazer will start when fluid sprayed into air intake but won't stay running so it is getting spark. Any other ideas?Fuel pressure regulator? Can't get it anywhere to get it diagnosed. We will check fuel pressure as well.

If it is the spider assembly or pump, it will most likely have to be towed.

Thanks again Roy. Our next step was goingto be to take off the plenum, we have a pick-n-pull here. We can get another spider system there We r almost sure it is fuel related. The people we got it from had gotten it towed & long story short. We got it for 400.00!It is in awesome condtition "otherwise":>)White w/black leather interior, new tires. Appreciate ya" Roy
