My 94 firebird formula is having trouble building fuel pressure. Checked shrater valve with guage takes a few cycles of the key to build. To around 40 psi. It use to at least roll the motor over and act like it was starting and with a couple cycles would start. Now it doesn't roll over or crank on except very. Occaaionaly. Could it still be the fuel pressure regulator or something else? Do you need more detail?

I would replace the pump. It sounds like it has failed.

What. If the fuel pump kicks on everycycle and shows pressure on the guage? The fuel pressure regulator (shcrater valve checked) no preasure. Would that cause the motor to not roll over due to lack of fuel pressure. I'm almost positive the pump is good due to it kicking without fail. And never cutting out. I just didn't know if lack of fuel pressure would cause a no roll over when turning the key due to the regulator not building proper preaaure

You must have the correct pressure to make it run. The pump may be running but cannot develop any pressure.
