When I am driving the car, and all of a sudden it stars to sputter, white smoke comes out, the more I step on the gas, more the car sputters. But I turn off and on the car and automatically the problem stops for a while.

White smoke out the tailpipe almost always indicates a blown head gasket and coolant entering the combustion chamber and being burnt.
You should confirm this by performing a compression test.
