Hello,

Could you elaborate a little more about 'crankshaft won't turn'?
If the crankshaft does not turn, then the engine will not start or run. And if the engine is not running, how is it running hot?

The serpentine belt can break due to having seized pulley(s) or Improper tension. It can also break due to being excessively worn.

Overheating can be due to a number of reasons. It could be due to a stuck closed thermostat, faulty water pump, inoperative cooling fan, bad radiator, being low on coolant or having contaminated coolant. Also having a clog in the cooling system can also lead to overheating.

Take a look at this helpful guide:

Please let me know a few more details of what you are experiencing.
Thank you.
